This article introduces you to the various types and how to use them.

What are the different types of washers?

It can be divided into Flat washer – class C, large washer – class A and C, large washer – class C, small washer – class A, flat washer – class A, flat washer – chamfered type – class A, steel structure with high strength washer, spherical washer, conical washer, I-steel with square inclined washer, channel steel with square inclined washer, standard spring washer, light spring washer, heavy spring washer, inner tooth lock washer, inner saw lock Washer, outer tooth lock washer, outer sawtooth lock washer, single ear stop washer, double ear stop washer, outer tongue stop washer, stop washer for round nut.

The stop washer has a raised fixed foot on the inner ring, and 3~4 raised locking feet on the outer ring. It has a fixed function on the basis of anti-loosening and is more suitable for use in places with severe vibration. What are washers used for?

The washer is divided into a plane washer and a spring washer. Due to the small contact area with the base after screw tightening, the installation of plane washers can increase the bearing area of the base, tightening will not cause damage to the base or sliding wire. Spring washers increase the stress of the turnbuckle, making the turnbuckle tighter.

How to install a washer?

Washers and round nuts are used together. When in use, install the washer on the slotted side of the nut, and bend the inner and outer stop lug into the groove after tightening. After the round nut is fastened, the inner and outer ears are respectively pulled into an axial direction and respectively stuck in the keyway on the shaft and the opening of the round nut, so that the round nut will not loose due to the rotation of the shaft.

Note: When the round nut is installed with a stop washer, should the side of the inner tooth bend towards the round nut or back towards the round nut?

When the round nut is tightened in place, the inner tooth of the stop washer bends towards the round nut. One of the outer teeth of the stop washer is bent to the groove of the outer wall of the round nut, and the inner teeth are stuck in the groove of the threaded rod so that the stop washer relative to the screw does not move when the round nut is screwed in.
