Cage Nut
Cage nuts, also known as captive nuts or clip nuts. They are enclosed in a surrounding cage, ready to engage with screws later in the assembly process. Due to the “floating” nature of the nuts in the cage, they can be used to slightly adjust any alignment problems during assembly.
Cage nuts are suitable for mounting rails on equipment racks such as data cabinets.
