Methods for Tightening Bolts
Bolts are a prevalent type of fastener. So how should we tighten bolts? As a professional fastener manufacturer, Xinchi is happy to share the methods for tightening bolts.

Three Methods for Tightening Bolts
Torque Tightening Method: The principle is that there is a certain relationship between the magnitude of the torque and the axial preload. This method is simple and intuitive to operate and is currently widely used.
Angle Tightening Method: The relationship between the rotation angle and the total elongation of the bolt and the loosening of the tightened components is approximately proportional. Therefore, a specified rotation angle can be used to achieve the predetermined tightening force.
Yield Point Tightening Method: The theoretical goal is to tighten the bolt just past the yield limit point.
Principles of Bolt Tightening Sequence:
Tighten in the order of first the center, then the two sides, diagonally, and in a clockwise direction, step by step.
Generally, tighten in two stages: the first step is to tighten to about 50% of the torque; the second step is to tighten to 100% of the torque.
The end of the bolt should protrude 1 to 3 threads beyond the nut.
