The principle of anti-theft nuts
When the nut is tightened clockwise, the ball will roll along the arc blind slot, and the plastic lining sleeve of the nut will automatically fall off. When the nut is loosened counterclockwise because the radial size of the blind groove gradually becomes smaller, the ball is stuck in the thread, and the nut cannot be loosened, thus playing an anti-theft role.
How to remove the anti-theft nut
- Exit the nut washer, etc., may be difficult, but must exit; Tap the screw inward to loosen it and back into the wall as much as possible.
- With a flashlight, observe and find the widest place between the expansion bolt jacket and the round hole of the security door. If the widest point can be inserted into the head of the needle-nose pliers and reached the wall, proceed with the following steps. Otherwise, skip to step 6.
- With a suitable small drill, in the most near the wall side of the hole, about 3-4mm deep, the hole is close to the bolt jacket.
- Use needle-nose pliers to reach into the hole, clamp the bolt jacket (one side of the pliers tip should be inserted between the screw and the jacket), also in and out, slightly rotate, and slowly remove the jacket.
- 5. The above needs thin and long needle-nose pliers, short not.
The difference between anti-theft nuts and ordinary nuts
Anti-theft nuts are more wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and durable than ordinary nuts.
