The basic requirements of bolt connection of grid structure

Bolt tightening: Tighten the bolt to the appropriate position to ensure its stability and that no visible sleeve touches the joint.

Component installation: The component’s bending degree shall not exceed the corresponding prescribed safety scale. The installation part shall be clean, without scratches, omissions, or obvious gaps, and there shall be no depression or installation.

Washer use: Flat washers should be placed under the bolt head and nut to increase the bearing area. Generally, there should be no more than two flat washers on the side of the bolt head and no more than one flat washer on the side of the nut.

Anti-loosening device: For bolts designed to prevent loosening, the nut or spring washer of the anti-loosening device should be used, and the spring washer must be arranged on one side of the nut.

Specific specifications and quality control measures for bolted connections

Quality control: After the installation of the grid structure, the longitudinal and horizontal length of the grid should be less than L/2000 and not less than or equal to 30mm, and the base offset of the bracket should be less than L/3000 and not greater than 30mm.

Measuring tools: The quality inspector should prepare the theodolite, level, steel ruler and other measuring instruments, grasp the construction situation at any time, and make necessary records.

Anti-loosening device: For the bolt connection bearing dynamic load or important parts, the spring washer should be placed according to the design requirements, and the spring washer must be set on the nut side.

Use of special materials: When connecting I-beams and channel steels with inclined planes, inclined washers should be used so that the supporting surface of the nut and bolt head is perpendicular to the screw.
