Steps for Installing 4-prong T-nuts:
Measure and Mark the Placement:
Determine where you need to install the T-nut on your material.
Use a measuring tape or ruler to mark the exact spot with a pencil or marker.
Drill the Hole:
Select a drill bit that matches the diameter of the T-nut’s barrel.
Drill a hole at the marked spot. Ensure the hole is straight and clean.
Insert the T-nut:
Insert the T-nut into the hole from the opposite side of where the bolt will be inserted.
Make sure the prongs are facing the material and the barrel fits snugly into the hole.
Seat the T-nut:
Use a hammer or mallet to tap the T-nut into the hole gently. The prongs should dig into the material, securing the T-nut in place.
Ensure the T-nut is flush with the surface of the material.
Secure the T-nut (Optional but Recommended):
For extra security, you can use screws through the holes in the prongs if the T-nut has them.
If the T-nut does not have holes for screws, ensure the prongs are fully embedded and the T-nut is stable.
Attach the Bolt or Fastener:
Insert the bolt or fastener from the opposite side and screw it into the T-nut.
Tighten with a screwdriver or wrench as needed.
