Common applications of screws: Screw connections are used for parts that are not often removed and have little force. Common connection screws are shown below:

Assembly characteristics of screw connection:

There is no need to use nuts, and generally no washer, but screw directly into the connector.

The screw passes from top to bottom through the upper part (whose aperture =1.1d) and screws into the threaded hole of the lower part.

The screw length bm is determined by the material of the screw:

Steel: bm=d

Cast iron: bm=1.25d or 1.5d

Aluminum: bm=2d

The notch of the screw mouth:

Put positive drawings in the main view.

In the top view, it should be drawn at 45 degrees from the horizontal line, without maintaining the projection relationship with the main view.

When the width of the notch is less than 2mm, the notch projection can be blackened.

If there is a threaded stop line, it shall be higher than the contours of the contact surfaces of the two connected pieces.

1) Notch of screw head:

The drawing should be placed in the main view.

The top view is specified to be drawn at 45 degrees from the horizontal line, and does not maintain a projection relationship with the main view.

When the width of the notch is less than 2mm, the projection of the notch can be blackened.

2) If there is a threaded termination line, it should be higher than the contoured line of the contact surface of the two connected parts, indicating that there is enough tightening force.
