Wrinkles are the metal folds that appear on the surface of the nut during forging.

Cause of wrinkles: During the forging of the nut, wrinkles may occur at or near the intersection of the change in diameter (section), or at the top or bottom of the nut due to material displacement.

Note: Wrinkles located around the flange of the flange nut at the junction with the supporting surface shall not extend to the supporting surface. Other wrinkles are allowed.
