What To Do If A Screw Strips?
Screws are commonly used fasteners in daily life, but during use, you may encounter the issue of a stripped screw. As a professional fastener manufacturer, XINCHI is happy to share methods for removing a stripped screw.

If the screw strips, you can place a piece of cloth on the screw head and then use a screwdriver to grip the screw head and turn it. This can increase the friction between the screwdriver and the screw, preventing the screw from slipping during rotation.
If the stripping is not severe, you can insert the screwdriver into the screw’s groove and try rotating the screw again. If it still doesn’t rotate, you can use a cutting tool or other tools to cut a deeper straight groove on the screw head, and then use a flathead screwdriver to rotate and remove the screw.
If the screw head is thick, you can use a wrench to grip the screw head and remove it. Alternatively, you can apply glue to secure the nut onto the screw and then use a wrench to turn the nut to remove the screw.
For stripped screws, a screw extractor can be used according to the instructions to remove the stripped screw.
