Follow these steps to install a serrated flange nut properly.

2. Position the bolt. Align the parts and insert the bolt through the mounting holes.
3. Fit the nut. Place the serrated flange nut onto the bolt, with the toothed side facing the mating surface. Start threading it by hand to avoid cross-threading.
4. Tighten the nut. Use a suitable wrench or socket and follow the recommended tightening torque for the application.
5. Check the joint. Make sure the nut is seated properly and the connected parts are secure.
