Let’s share the connection of a double stud.

The common application of double stud: when there is a part between the two connectors is relatively thick and thus processing through the hole is difficult, or for other reasons, it is inconvenient to use the bolt connection, generally use the stud to connect.

Double stud assembly process:

First screw the screw end of the double stud into the threaded hole of the machine. Then put the other end of the double stud (fastening end) through the through hole (aperture =1.1d) on the connected piece, put the washer on, and tighten the nut.

Drawing of double stud connection:

Key points:

1. The screw end of the stud must be completely screwed into the screw hole.
2. The thread termination line at the screwing end shall be flush with the contact surface of the two connected parts.
3. The depth of the threaded hole should be greater than the length of the screw end. The depth of the threaded hole is generally bm+(0.3-0.5)d.
4. L is the length of the fastening end, bm is the depth of the screwing. (bm is connected with the screw, determined by the material of the connected piece)

Incorrect drawing of stud connection:

1. The opening direction of the spring washer should be tilted to the left.
2. If the thread termination line of the screw into the bolt is flush with the contours of the contact surfaces of the two connected parts, it indicates that the screw is tightened.
3. The thread terminating line at the fastening end should not be omitted.
4. The drawing method of the bottom of the threaded hole should conform to the actual processing.
